Aval Ladoo

Aval Ladoo is an easy and quick sweet recipe that can be prepared for any festival. Today being navaratri I wanted to prepare a special dish in very less time and yes this was a perfect recipe for it ! You can use normal aval instead of red aval.

If making ladoo is difficult can add 1 – 2 tbsp of milk. But remember to consume it quickly if adding milk as the shelf life will reduce.

Ingredients (Makes 10)

Preparation time – 5 mins
Cooking time – 20 mins
  • Red poha – 1.5 cups
  • Brown sugar – 1/4 cup heaped
  • Ghee – as needed
  • Mixed nuts – 1 tbsp
  • Milk – 2 tbsp


  • Dry roast poha in a pan.
  • Cool it down and powder it.
  • Add brown sugar to the blender and blend it once.
  • In the same pan, add 1 tbsp ghee and add nuts to it and roast it well.
  • Add the powdered aval + sugar mixture to the pan.
  • Mix well when warm.
  • Make small ladoos of it. Add some ghee / milk to make the ladoo.

Easy and tasty ladoo ready for the navaratri neivediyam.
