Hummus is a dip, spread or savoury dish very popular in middle eastern cuisine. We loved the hummus and wanted to try a dessert version of it. I tried the chocolate hummus which serves as a dessert or as a dip / spread too !!
Looks so much like other chocolate spreads but is so delicious and healthy !
Ingredients (makes 200 g)
|Preparation time – 5 mins|
- Chickpeas – 1 cup, cooked
- Peanut butter – 1/4 cup
- Cocoa powder – 2.5 tbsp
- Maple syrup / Honey – 3 tbsp
- Coconut milk – 4 tbsp
- Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
- Salt – a pinch
- Ad all the ingredients in a blender.
- Blend it to a smooth paste. Adjust the coconut milk to get the desired consistency.
Easy healthy and tasty chocolate hummus is ready. You can use it as a spread for bread / bun. Can be had with roti too !!
Store in an air tight container and refrigerate. Can be used for a week !!
